Pilot Z Cross Business Integration Program

Coming from the MBA program at National Sun Yat-Sen University, my journey with Pilot Z began with a desire to bridge business and technology. LITEON offered the perfect training ground to explore AI in the corporate world alongside ambitious peers.

We started as strangers at the orientation camp, but activities like tree climbing and team skipping ropes quickly turned us into a tight-knit group, proving that team spirit is everything.

Armed with new skills in n8n, Copilot, Vertex AI, and Digital Twin, we dove into real-world projects. I recall our AIDA project, where we accelerated analysis for the patent team, and the GitHub Workshop, where we created a social platform concept. My role in business strategy perfectly complemented my teammates' technical skills, leading to a highly praised proposal.

It was an intense three months. We even secured 13 certifications! It taught me the art of time management and rapid learning. But it wasn't all work. LITEON’s culture shines through events like the MIZUNO relay race. Those Wednesday practice runs by the river paid off when we all broke our personal records!

Returning to our departments, we are now equipped with better communication, management, and AI skills. Pilot Z is more than just a program to me; it is a holistic growth journey filled with challenges and fun. Join the LITEON family to innovate and create value together!

Before joining LITEON, my background was in Data Engineering and AI. I was looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience and touch real-world industry applications. So, I joined LITEON's LIGHT SEEKER summer internship program as a Data Engineering intern in the IT department.

These two months allowed me to truly understand how cross-functional collaboration works and to experience the full project lifecycle—from clarifying requirements and technical design to actual implementation. LIGHT SEEKER gave me the space to "try." It wasn't just about getting my hands dirty; it was safe to make mistakes, correct them, and move forward. What I loved most was the team's willingness to share and trust newcomers, which gave me the courage to propose ideas and challenge the status quo.

Towards the end of my internship, I realized I wanted to understand business operations deeply, rather than staying solely at the technical level. Therefore, I chose to join the Pilot Z Management Associate program after graduation.

If LIGHT SEEKER was a "training ground" that helped me adapt to the environment and strengthen my practical skills, then Pilot Z was an "accelerator" that elevated my perspective from a technical view to a strategic and organizational one. During this transition, I felt my role shift: from an intern focused on completing tasks to a Management Associate who needs to stand at a higher vantage point, understand the company's direction, and propose feasible solutions.

The training in Pilot Z is systematic and diverse. Whether it was corporate strategy, cross-functional collaboration, or project management, it gave me a fresh perspective on LITEON's scale and vision. In LIGHT SEEKER, I focused on the "How" and technical details; in Pilot Z, I learned to ask "Why are we doing this?" and "What value does it bring to the company?"

Furthermore, my favorite part of Pilot Z was the group of partners with whom I share a deep camaraderie. We faced many projects, exams, and missions that required cooperation. We often brainstormed late into the night and supported each other. The sense of achievement when we cleared stages together was intense—it made me feel I wasn't facing these challenges alone.

Now, back in my unit after graduation, I can clearly feel my growth. When facing tasks, I can quickly identify the core issues and apply the foundation laid by Pilot Z to project management and collaboration. In particular, the comprehensive thinking frameworks and the network I built have given me the confidence and direction to take on new challenges.

Looking back, the journey from LIGHT SEEKER to Pilot Z has been progressive and deeply impactful. The former helped me find my interest and niche, while the latter helped me build vision and capability, giving me the drive to continue growing and making an impact at LITEON.

With a Master's in Accounting from NTU and experience as a System Analyst in the tech sector, I joined LITEON for a specific reason: the "Digital Transformation Strategic Partner" role in the Accounting team. It offered the perfect challenge—using digital tech to optimize finance—combining my two passions and showcasing LITEON's visionary approach to transformation.

The training was a game-changer. It wasn't just theory; we got our hands dirty with Gen AI, AI Agents, Image Recognition, and Vibe Coding. In one team project, we built an AI Agent to automate market data collection for the sales team, saving them tons of time. This experience sharpened not just my tech skills, but also my project management and communication abilities.

But the best part? Definitely the partners. The program fosters collaboration over competition. We bonded through shared missions, and that connection didn't end with the training. From work advice to post-work dinners and even a 30-person trip, the friendships we built are rare and incredibly precious.

Post-training, I've evolved from just using AI tools to actively driving AI solutions in my department. I've been able to apply what I learned to real projects, successfully boosting AI model accuracy with my proposals.

When I first started job hunting after graduation, I stumbled upon LITEON’s "Pilot Z Program" on a job board. The unique name stood out from typical job postings, and the mention of a rigorous three-month training period caught my eye. My initial reaction was, "This looks tough." But ironically, that difficulty was exactly what drew me in. I wanted to challenge myself! After getting accepted, I was naturally nervous about the assessments, but I decided to commit fully. I even signed a one-year lease on an apartment immediately, effectively burning my bridges to ensure I had no choice but to succeed.

The training schedule was incredibly fulfilling. It ranged from the practical application of AI tools (like Copilot, Google ML, and NVIDIA Workshops) to a deep understanding of LITEON’s corporate culture and operations. My favorite part was the frequent cross-functional group collaborations. unlike in university, where I worked with classmates from the same major, Pilot Z brought together people from diverse backgrounds. We often had vastly different approaches to the same task, which was eye-opening.

The courses on "Communication" and "Precise Decision-Making" resonated deeply when paired with these group projects. Through countless discussions and missions, I learned how to articulate my ideas clearly, make decisions under time pressure, and understand the priorities of different roles. These "soft skills" are rarely taught so intentionally, yet they are incredibly practical.

On graduation day, our CHRO, Alan, told us that we are like "30 avatars scattered across different units of LITEON." Back in my own department, I finally understood what he meant. When I need to communicate system requirements or processes with other departments, I don't panic—because I know I have my Pilot Z partners out there.

To me, Pilot Z was more than just learning AI tools or hard skills. It was a journey of building communication and collaboration skills, and most importantly, meeting a group of trusted partners. I believe this experience will be a solid pillar of support for every step of my career going forward.

As a CS Master's graduate from USC, I joined LITEON's Pilot Z Program for one main reason: the community. The idea of growing alongside a "cohort" of partners was incredibly appealing. Moving from student life to the workforce is a huge shift, but having this support system meant I never felt alone. I was tackling challenges side by side with my fellow trainees.

The three-month training was packed with value. I dove deep into AI courses and gained a broad view of the company through cross-BU collaborations. I even earned two Microsoft certifications along the way! But what I loved most was the teamwork. Working together on projects—from brainstorming to the final pitch—was intense but rewarding. The sense of accomplishment we shared was powerful, and the friendships we built are priceless.

Now back in my department, I see Pilot Z as the perfect buffer for my transition into the professional world. It helped me adapt to the work rhythm and gave me the confidence to tackle real-world tasks. The AI skills I learned are directly applicable to my job, and knowing how different BUs function makes cross-team collaboration so much smoother. Plus, having a network of "battle buddies" means I always have someone to turn to for support.

Pilot Z is more than a training program; it’s a launchpad for growth. It equipped me with skills, a strong network, and the right mindset. Thanks to this journey, I’m ready and confident for whatever comes next.
