Dare to Pursue Your Dreams and Reach for the Stars

The LITEON Cultural Foundation was jointly established in 1993 through personal donations by the three founders of LITEON affiliates—Mr. Raymond Soong, Mr. Paul Lin, and Mr. Simon Wu.

The Foundation has witnessed epoch-making changes over the past three decades. Many sectors of society have still missed growth opportunities due to lack of resources. That’s why LITEON Cultural Foundation has reached out through action and entered schools. A volunteer crew was established to provide guidance to dropout students due to the deficiency in mentoring mechanisms at the time. In a small group setting, volunteers accompanied students through different methods, including extracurricular reading and using teaching materials on non-academic subjects, to equip them with the positivity to conquer challenges in out-of-school time.

Mr. Tom Soong has served as the Chairman of the LITEON Cultural Foundation since 2020. The Foundation has been committed to caring for people for over 30 years, addressing the different needs of society under ever-changing times. After the government eventually made up for the lack of mentoring resources, the Foundation shifted its focus to “AI literacy education, diversity and inclusiveness, social welfare and education, and island nature" to promote and encourage holistic education. The Foundation opens up different perspectives and advocates the inclusion of different groups. The LITEON Cultural and Educational Foundation hopes to help younger generations discover their resilience and inner strength, and find the courage to actively pursue their dreams, so that every visionary child and youth can have the courage to pursue their dreams and reach for the stars!
