As an example, the Kaohsiung-based "Taiwan-Vietnam Cultural Research Society" was founded by colleagues who felt that foreign migrant workers might need more support and cultural adaptation when working away from their hometowns, and therefore initiated the establishment of this society on their own initiative with the aim of creating a community with a taste of home for Vietnamese migrant workers, so that they can feel the warmth of home and a sense of belonging in Taiwan. Through food and language exchanges as the main elements, it not only promotes the connection of Vietnamese colleagues, but also allows Taiwanese and Vietnamese community members to share their cultures and experiences, promotes mutual understanding and awareness, and then helps community members to integrate more smoothly into the environment and to support each other and grow together in LITEON.
