Lite-On Technology Corp. (TW 2301) is pleased to announce that it won two significant CSR Awards from Global Views Magazine. One was the 1st Prize in the Overall Effects Sector and the other was the Paragon Prize in the Education Sector.
As a result of continuous efforts to implement Corporate Social Environmental Responsibility, and its outstanding performance in that respect, Lite-On Tech’s CSR strategy and policy aspects, including Corporate Governance, Social Involvement, and Environmental Protection, were fully recognized. Meanwhile, substantial results of Lite-On Tech’s taking the lead in the organization of the “Taiwan Corporate International Sustainability Coalition” and the building of two learning platforms, namely “DJSI Workgroup” and “Supply Chain Green House Gas Management Workgroup” for enterprise members, are also highly appreciated.
Making every effort to be a good corporate citizen, while simultaneously concentrating on sales and profits as engines of growth, Lite-On has succeeded in putting active CSR programs into practice. In 2011, Lite-On Tech was selected as a leading member of the 2011/12 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), listed in both DJSI-World and DJSI-Asia Pacific. Not only was Lite-On the only Taiwanese company selected in the Electronic Component and Equipment (ELQ) sector, but it was also ranked first, Industry Leader among all companies named in the sector. Meanwhile, Lite-On Tech also won the ”Corporate Citizenship” award for the fifth consecutive year since 2007 from Common Wealth Magazine, Silver Prize in the 2011 Taiwan CSR Awards from Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, and Corporate Social Responsibility Report Disclosure Award from Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TWSE).
