On Aug 9th, 2024 LITEON officially joined the Renewable Energy Initiative (RE100), led by the Climate Group in collaboration with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which aims to drive the transition to 100% renewable electricity to drive the energy transition.
RE100 is a global initiative of businesses that are committed to transforming their businesses to consuming 100% renewable electricity. Ollie Wilson, Head of RE100 said: “We welcome LITEON to RE100, joining over 34 companies headquartered in Taiwan that are part of RE100. By committing to using 100% renewable electricity by 2040, LITEON is highlighting how businesses in Taiwan are pushing for greater access to renewable electricity and are driving forward the transition to renewables.”
As part of our RE100 commitment, LITEON has outlined strategies to achieve 100% renewable energy consumption by 2040. This involves gradually increasing renewable energy use and actively reducing carbon emissions. In the future, we will consume renewable energy such as solar and wind energy to ensure more sustainable production processes.
LITEON is committed to a greener, more sustainable future. Aligned with our tagline, “Empowering a Green Future,” we are proud to join the RE100 initiative to contribute to the global environment.
