As a result of continuous efforts to implement Corporate Social Environmental Responsibility policies, and its outstanding performance in that respect, Lite-On Technology Corporation has won a Corporate Social Responsibility Award from Global Views Magazine every year since 2005. This year, Lite-On was awarded the 1st place Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Large Technology Companies category. As a leading global optoelectronics and high-tech electronics company, Lite-On was recognized for its commitment to stakeholders, including through good labor-management relations, concern for employees, corporate governance, environmental protection and contributions to society. For several years, Lite-On’s CSER Committee, led by Lite-On’s Group Chairman, Group CEO and senior executives, have jointly implemented thorough corporate social environmental responsibility policies within the Lite-On Group.
Making every effort to be a good corporate citizen, while simultaneously concentrating on sales and profits as engines of growth, Lite-On has succeeded in putting active CSR programs into practice. In 2008, Lite-On became the first Taiwanese optoelectronics company to become a formal member of the EICC, with the intent of playing a leadership role in the global green industry supply chain, while lending a positive impetus to its CSR vision. Thanks to its constant endeavors and participation in social welfare activities, Lite-On has received regular awards from Taiwan’s government for its commitment and inspiration, including being honored with the eighth National Civic Service Award in 2009.
