Lite-On Technology Corporation has won a Corporate Citizenship Award from Common Wealth Magazine for the fifth year in a row. The recognition is attributable to Lite-On’s continuous efforts to implement Corporate Social Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policies and its outstanding performance in that respect. This year, Lite-On was awarded the 2nd place Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Large Technology Companies category, upgraded from the 4th place honor last year.
Lite-On scored the highest mark in Corporate Governance and the second highest in Environmental Protection among 2,000 companies. As a leading global technology and optoelectronics company, Lite-On was highly recognized for its commitment to stakeholders, including through good labor- management relations, concern for employees, corporate governance, environmental protection and contributions to society. For the past several years, Lite-On’s CSER Committee, led by Lite-On’s Group Chairman, Group CEO and senior executives, have jointly implemented thorough corporate social environmental responsibility policies within the Lite-On Group.
Making every effort to be a good corporate citizen, while simultaneously concentrating on sales and profits as engines of growth, Lite-On has succeeded in putting active CSER programs into practice. Lite-On has built up its EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) management system, in strict compliance with the rules and regulations and with strong business execution. In 2010, Lite-On also led the Industry in completing the first global Optoelectronic Semiconductor Product Category Rule and announced the first global Optoelectronic Semiconductor Product Carbon Footprint Declaration and Environmental Product Declaration, Type III.
