Lite-On Technology Corp. (TW 2301) reported its January consolidated revenue today, in the amount of NT$8.14 billion, down 12% M-o-M, mainly due to the seasonal impact of the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday shutdown.
Thanks to solid orders received by Lite-On’s core business units in January, the Camera Module business unit, in the Opto-Electronics business group, posted growth of approximately 10% Y-o-Y, resulting from ongoing gains in global market-share, new customers, expanding sales of smart-phones and smooth delivery of PCs. Meanwhile, in the Mechanical Competence business group, the HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC keyboards and peripherals) business unit also posted sales growth of approximately 20% Y-o-Y, mainly attributable to stable end-demand and ongoing market-share gains coupled with increased shipments.
