Lite-On Technology (TW 2301) today reported November consolidated revenue of NT$10.68, up 11% Y-o-Y and 3% M-o-M, mainly attributable to steady order intakes in Strategic Business Groups, coupled with stable global end-demand. Cumulative sales from January through November totaled NT$110.5 billion, up 1% Y-o-Y.
In November, thanks to the steady increase in the market demand of mobile devices and cloud computing applications, Lite-On’s core business units showed sequential growth. In the Optoelectronics, Camera Module revenue grew markedly by approximately 50% Y-o-Y, hitting a new monthly sales record high, supported by its capacity expansion and smooth delivery of high-end products, and sequential gains in the global market-share of smart-phones and table PCs. Meanwhile, thanks to substantial demand from branded customers and delivery growth, revenue from LED lighting components increased over 300% Y-o-Y and total revenue from LED business unit increased approximately 40% Y-o-Y. As a result, the Optoelectronics posted a revenue growth of 43% Y-o-Y.
Additionally, the HIS (Human Input Solutions-PC keyboards and peripherals) business unit in the Mechanical Competence SBG also enjoyed a growth of approximately 10% Y-o-Y, resulting from the increasing shipments of keyboards for tablet PCs, as well as the ongoing global market share gains in desktop and notebook PCs.
