LITE-ON being Ranked Top 5% in 2020 Corporate Governance Evaluation Survey Again by Taiwan Stock Exchange

LITE-ON Technology (TW 2301) is pleased to announce that it has been once again ranked top 5% in 2020 Corporate Governance Evaluation Survey by Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), presenting its outstanding practices in corporate governance, operational transparency, and corporate social responsibilities. LITE-ON continuously improves management performance, providing transparency, timeliness and fairness of information disclosure to protect the interests and rights of investors through establishing the efficient corporate governance framework and executing code of practices, and at the same time conducts rules for performance evaluation to strengthen board of directors and functional committees’ performance.

For further adopting international standard of corporate governance, LITE-ON approved the Corporate Sustainability Committee, managed by the Board, as the highest level of governing body to strengthen sustainability development and related activities in 2019. The Corporate Sustainability Committee is chaired by Mr. Warren Chen, LITE-ON Vice Chairman and Group CEO, and half or more of the members are independent directors. LITE-ON also commits to responsible production strategy and environmental sustainability through low-carbon products and green operations as well as improves its climate change and energy management, water resource management, waste and resource management and builds up its Climate resilience in order to respond appropriately to stakeholder expectations on environmental issues.

Co-hosted by TWSE and Taipei Exchange (TPEX), the result of the 6th Corporate Governance Evaluation has been released. The evaluation is based on five evaluation categories including Protecting Shareholder Rights and Interests, Treating Shareholders Equitably, Enhancing Board Composition and Operation, Increasing Information Transparency and Putting Corporate Social Responsibility into Practice. 901 TWSE listed companies and 699 TPEX listed companies, a total of 1,600 companies, were evaluated.
