LITE-ON Technology Wins the Most Prestigious Sustainability-Top Ten Domestic Corporates, Climate Leadership and Corporate Sustainability Report Platinum Awards from TCSA

LITE-ON is pleased to announce that it won three 2019 Taiwan Corporate Sustainable Awards (TCSA), namely the Most Prestigious Sustainability Award - Top Ten Domestic Corporates, Climate Leadership Award and Corporate Sustainability Report Platinum Award. In 2019, LITE-ON established the Corporate Sustainability Committee directly reporting to the Board of Directors to reinforce its corporate governance mechanism. LITE-ON is devoted to optimizing key suppliers’ conditions to improve the quality of sustainable supply chain management and product values, creating an inclusive workplace, investing in environmental welfare activities, etc. Meanwhile, LITE-ON has been actively adopted innovative methods to combine global sustainability issues with the company's operational strategy and core competencies supplemented while comprehensively disclosed its Corporate Sustainability Report with high level assurance by third-party at the same time to achieve efficient communication with stakeholders, which further resulted in numerous recognitions from the TCSA jury.

Moreover, to minimize the environment impact from manufacturing processes, LITE-ON deploys low-carbon strategies with low-carbon products and green operations and launches the Resilience LITE-ON Program to strengthen the climate change mitigation and adaptation capacity. Three projects were also implemented, including Climate-related Financial Disclosures Improvement, Science-Based Targets setting, and Greenhouse Gas Value Chain (Scope 3) Reduction, in response to the expectation from stakeholders.

LITE-ON has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for nine consecutive years and included in the Constituent MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes for six consecutive years. LITE-ON was also ranked on the Top 5% listed companies of 2019 Corporate Governance Evaluation by Taiwan Stock Exchange, certified as a constituent in the FTSE4Good Taiwan Index Plus (TIP) Taiwan ESG Index, awarded “Corporate Citizenship” Award from Common Wealth Magazine for 13th straight year and the Paragon Prize in the annual overall CSR survey of 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Award from Global Views Magazine.
