LITE-ON Technology Reports Consolidated January Sales of NT$15.6 Billion

LITE-ON Technology (2301-tw) today reported its January consolidated revenue of NT$15.6 billion, up 8% Y-o-Y and decreased 3% M-o-M, excluding sales of the transferred mobile phone camera module and mobile mechanical business, supported by stable end-demand from core businesses.

Opto-electronics business segment contributed a 16% share of total sales. Thanks to the ongoing growths from invisible LED and LED vehicle lighting, Opto-electronics posted a growth of over 10% M-o-M.

Information Technologies business accounted for 63% of sales, of which, shipment growth of high-end server and networking power management systems and server enclosures for cloud computing, coupled with ongoing market share gains in HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC Keyboards and Peripherals) drove Information Technologies a consecutive yearly growth of nearly 10% in January.

Meanwhile, the Storage segment accounted for 16% of total revenue. Thanks to strong demand from cloud computing application, the segment posted a growth of approximately 20% Y-o-Y.
