Lite-On Awards Exhibits Design Creations in Shanghai

Lite-On Awards, the largest-scale design competition in Greater China, was invited to present design creations in Shanghai International Creative Industry Exhibition lately till Nov 28.

In addition to design creations of 2003-2006 Lite-On Awards, Lite-On will also exhibit products that created by Innocell Creativity Center, the industrial design team of the company, which were the winners of iF Awards (Germany), Red Dot Awards (Germany), and IDEA Awards (US).

Sponsored by Lite-On Technology, the world's largest NB adapter maker, Lite-On Awards has gone through six years, and inspired many Taiwanese and overseas Chinese industrial design talents to present their cutting-edge ideas and inventions. Number of entries expanded tremendously from 425 in 2001 to 1,661 in 2006. Started from Taiwan, Lite-On Awards has penetrated overseas areas including China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, America, Sweden, and Germany. As iF Awards is frequently considered the Oscar in industrial design, Lite-On Awards aspires to become the iF Awards for the Chinese descents around the world.

2007 Lite-On Awards has been launched lately with the main theme of "Foreseeing the Future", which is to encourage young designers to create an innovative 4C (Computer, Communication, Consumer Electronics, and Car) world in the future. Any Chinese that domiciled in Taiwan or abroad, who are under 35-year-old (born after 1971) and interested in industrial design work, are all invited to participate in 2007 Lite-On Awards. The Gold Award winner will be awarded NT$350 thousand dollars cash award.
