According to “Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation Procedures for Verification and Disclosure of Material Information of Companies with Listed Securities”, LITE-ON defined significant environmental violation as one liable for the fine over 1 million NTD (about 33,000 USD). There was no significant environment- pollution event transpired in 2017 under this definition.

However, as a commitment of improving information transparency, a leased manufacturing factory have not submitted the Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) in year 2017 that lead to 100,000 RMB (about 15,000 USD) fine by local environmental protection agency. The factory has acquired EIA in April 2018. We have uphold the business principle with honesty and credibility to conduct internal rectification, enforce environmental management and guarantee the stability of operation and comply the emission requirements in order to confirm the sustainable vision of LITE-ON.
