Preliminary Jury List for 2009 Lite-On Award

Lite-On Award, the largest-scale industrial design competition in Greater China Community, has announced its preliminary jury list for its 2009 competition. The five judges are specialized in green technology, industry design, product design and branding. They are Andreas Gursch, the director of The Environmental Protection and Encouragement Agency (EPEA), Seji Peng, the AVP of Industrial Design BU from Acer IT Product Global Operations, and Anthony Soames, the design director of Subkarma International Associates Co.,Ltd. We also invited David Wang, the creative Supervisor from bod design and Corina Zuberbuhler, the branch manager of Process Taiwan. The preliminary selection will be held on June 3rd in Taipei, Taiwan.

The jury’s diverse backgrounds and expertise made the best mix of professionals to choose the excellent designs this year. Andreas Gursch has over ten years of experience in promoting environmental protection and green technology. With this professional background, he has been invited to make speeches to share the know-how of renewable energy and sustainable green solutions around Taiwan frequently. As for the AVP Seji Peng, the famous ACER Ferrari 3200 is one of his representative works. The hottest 3200 has become a big hit globally.

In addition, David Wang, the creative supervisor of bod design, has received many design rewards, such as iF Award, International Design Resource Award. Subkarma’s Anthony Soames has provided professional design and branding service to assist over 50 Taiwan small businesses in entering the European market successfully. As for Corina Zuberbuhler, she joined Process Taiwan branch last year. With her expertise in design, many of her bright ideas are expected to enlighten us through out the competition.
