Lite-On Technology Wins 7 iF, IDEA and red dot Awards in 2008

Lite-On Technology (2301 TW) has been well recognized by the International Design Awards again! After receiving the 3 iF Awards in Germany this January, Lite-On keeps its momentum and gets 4 awards from the Germany red dot Award and the U.S IDEA Award. The awards included 2 red dot Design Concept Awards–the “Embossing Braille Printer” and “Freshness Indicator” and 2 IDEA Design Concept Award –“Bath Safeguard” and “Solar Power”.

Among them, the“Embossing Braille Printer”, “Bath Safeguard” and “Freshness Indicator” have been honored by LiteonAwards this year. It shows that the selection criteria of LiteonAwards can compare favorably with the standard of International design campaign.

Since 2005, Lite-On Technology has won many prestigious international industrial awards, such as the iF Award, the red dot award and the IDEA Award. Lite-On wins awards each year and has accumulated 23 awards to date.

IDEA Design Concept Award Bath Safeguard
The Bath Safeguard transforms water temperatures into a visible color display that matches temperature to color, i.e. red is hot and blue is cold, via a sensor. This design gives users a safer bathing environment.

IDEA Design Concept Award Solar Power
Solar Power is an extremely convenient and environmentally-friendly battery. It has an elastic thin-film solar cell built into its metal cover. Simply pull this solar cell out and it will use available light sources to start recharging immediately, without the need for any separate charger or wall socket. Not only can it power electronic devices which normally use dry batteries, it can also recharge portable devices such as cell-phone, MP3 players or digital cameras via a mini USB cable.
