SBT Emissions Reduction Targets
LITEON aims to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions combined from a base year of 2014 by 39.3% by the target year of 2025. The base year emissions were recorded at 2.04 million metric tons of CO2e, which accounted for 86% of the total base year emissions. Additionally, LITEON has set a target to reduce its Scope 3 emissions from the base year of 2016 by 28.8% by 2023, with base year emissions reported at 58.606 million metric tons of CO2e, representing 43.69% of total base year emissions. Both reduction targets have been validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative. LITEON is applying for scope 3 Net Zero emission SBT with the Physical intensity contraction calculation method on scope 3 including the material and product use stage.
