LITE-ON Was Selected as a Member of 2017 DJSI for Seven Consecutive Years

LITE-ON Technology Corp. (TW 2301) is pleased to announce that it has been continuously selected as a leading member of the 2017 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for seven consecutive years, demonstrating its success in achieving the international standards of sustainability practices.

LITE-ON was selected as a member of DJSI-Emerging Markets in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics industry, and was remarkably ranked 100% in 5 aspects including Code of Business Conduct, Labor Practice Indicators, Privacy Protection, Climate Change, and Environmental Reporting out of total 23 aspects. The outstanding performance in all of these respects reaffirmed strong commitment to sustainable development for years. LITE-ON will continue making efforts toward to sustainability performance in all dimensions; also leading our supply chain to maximize benefit of the stakeholders as well as community.

Making every effort to be a good corporate citizen, as of 2017, Lite-On has been awarded Corporate Citizenship Award from Common Wealth Magazine for the eleventh year in a row, selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for seven consecutive years, included in the composition of MSCI Global Sustainability Indexes for four consecutive years, ranked first in Taiwan, and third company in Asia in Channel NewsAsia Sustainability Ranking. Meanwhile, LITE-ON was ranked as the industry leadership in Technology Hardware Equipment by Carbon Disclosure Project after being named one of the Leading Companies in Climate Disclosure Leadership (CDLI) Index for two consecutive years 2014-2015 as well as awarded Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award for six consecutive years.

About Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI)
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices were launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmarks. The indices are offered as part of a cooperative effort by S&P Dow Jones Indexes and the RobecoSAM. DJSI invites the worldwide top 3,400 companies of 60 sectors for the evaluation, tracking their performances in terms of economic, environmental and social dimensions and selects the top 10% of each sector to be listed as its members. The indexes serve as benchmarks for investors who integrate sustainability considerations into their portfolios, and provide an effective engagement platform for companies who want to adopt sustainable best practices.
