• Lite-On IT Corporation acquired BenQ Corporation's Optical Disk Drive Business to become one of the top 3 ODD manufacturers in the world.
• Lite-On Technology acquired a 100% stake in Lite-On Automotive Corporation, a subsidiary of Lite-On Technology.
• Foreign institutional investor shareholdings surpassed 50%.
• Lite-On's Innocell Creativity Center, the industrial design team of the company, won 12 global and Taiwan design awards including the iF Awards (Germany), Red Dot Awards (Germany), IDEA Awards (USA), Taiwan International Design Competition Awards, and Taiwan Excellence Awards.
• The 2006 Lite-On Awards received nearly 1700 entries, hitting a historical record-high, and attracting overseas Chinese design talent from USA, Germany, France, Sweden, Korea, and Singapore. 2005 • Lite-On Technology announced the indefinite suspension of the handset assembly business in line with its Profitable Growth strategy.
• The affiliate company, Lite-On IT Corporation, was approved by the SFC as a listed company (Stock Code: 8008) from a Class-B over-the-counter listed company.
• Lite-On Technology invested in DragonJet Corporation to strengthen product development capabilities in plastic injection molding.
• The Board of Directors approved the investment of a 100% stake in Lite-On Automotive International Co., Ltd.

2004 • Lite-On Technology acquired Lite-On Enclosure Inc.
• Lite-On Technology signed a white LED patent cross-licensing agreement with Osram.
• Winner of Best Supplier Award from Inventec.
• The affiliate company, Silitech, was approved by the SFC for listing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE). (Stock Code: 3311)

2003 • Lite-On Technology Global Headquarters is officially launched in Neihu Science Park.

2002 • Lite-On Electronics, Silitek, Lite-On Technology and GVC merged and became known as Lite-On Technology Corporation. The stock code "2301" represents Lite-On Technology as the leader of the domestic IT Industry.
• Lite-On invited domestic and overseas Chinese to participate in the 2003 Lite-On Awards.

2001 • Lite-On Electronics received Golden Award of Global Excellent Business Model from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
• Lite-On Technology Corp. acquired Lite-On Communications Corp. and formed the System Business Unit and Networking Business Unit.
• Silitek successfully developed the 3-in-1 multi-function printer (MFP).

2000 • With government approval, Lite-On Electronics, Silitek, Lite-On IT, and Lite-On Enclosure formed a joint-venture to build the 1.6 square kilometer Guangzhou Science Park in China.
• Lite-On Group donated NT$24 million dollars to establish a Taiwanese elementary school in Dongguan, China that provides a good learning environment for the children of Lite-On employees from Taiwan.
• Lite-On launched the first Lite-On Awards, attracting more than 500 young designers from colleges and stimulating new innovation and research.

1999 • The Optoelectronics business unit of Lite-On Technology Corp., spun off as a separate entity known as the Lite-On IT Corp.
• Lite-On Group acquired GVC Corporation.
• Obtained a construction license form the government for a new global headquarters and broke ground on September 22nd.
• LiteOn Group donated a total of NT31 million dollars to the victims of the 921 earthquake.

1998 • Lite-On Electronics Tianjin plant and Lite-On Technology Corp. Shijie plant began operations in June.

1997 • Silitek's "wireless keyboard" won the 5th Golden Award of National Excellent Awards.
• Lite-On Group further expanded its manufacturing and customer service capabilities through five new construction projects and existing-plant expansions in several parts of the world, bringing the total number of Lite-On Group manufacturing facilities to 38 locations.
• Lite-On Electronics Inc., Lite-On Technology Corp., and Lite-On Electronics Inc of England, all obtained ISO-14000 certification.

1996 • Lite-On IT Technology set up a Holding Company and a Product Development Center in Singapore, and broke ground for plants in China.

1995 • Lite-On Electronics Inc. Thailand plant obtained ISO-9002 certification.
• Silitek Corp. rubber plant in Malaysia obtained ISO-9002 certification.
• Lite-On Technology Corp. is publicly listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange with Stock Code: 2346.

1994 • Lite-On Electronics Inc. Optoelectronic Business Unit and Lite-On Technology Keelung plant both obtained ISO-9001 certification.
• Lite-On Technology Corp. established the subsidiary company Lite-On Technology International Inc. in California, USA.

1993 • Silitek Corp. Information Business Unit Keelung plant, Malaysia plant and Tamsui plant were all ISO-9002 certified.

1992 • Lite-On Electronics Inc. earned IECQ/ISO 9000 certifications.
• Lite-On Technology established a subsidiary company, Lite-On GMBH, in Kiel City, Germany.
• Silitek Corp. established Lite-On Peripherals Ireland, Ltd., in Limerick City, as a new operation center to improve services for European customers.

1991 • Lite-On Electronics Inc. acquired the switching power supply plant of NPE company in Britain which began operating under the name of Lite-On Ltd.

1990 • Lite-On Electronics Inc. established a plant in Penang, Malaysia to manufacture switching power supplies.
• Silitek Corp acquired Maxi Switch, the No.3 keyboard manufacturer in the US, to improve added value for product lines.

1989 • Lite-On Corporate Identify System (CIS) introduced.
• Lite-On Electronics Inc. established its first overseas production facility in Bangkok, Thailand to manufacture optoelectronic products.
• Lite-On Technology Corp established with NT110 million dollars in capital to manufacture color CRT monitors.

1983 • Lite-On Electronics issued initial public offering as the first technology company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange with Stock Code 2301 .

1975 • Lite-On Electronics was established and initiated Taiwan's first LED production with NT$1M paid-in-capital.
