Lite-On Tech, with Lite-On IT, reaches NT$ 10 B of consolidated global operating revenues for the preceding three quarters

Lite-On Technology Corporation accounted that global combined operating revenues for the last three quarters amounted to NT$ 69.2 billion, which represented a substantial 44% increase over the corresponding 2001 period, and that the pre-tax profit up to NT$ 6.5 billion represented a more significant 65% increase over the corresponding period last year. With Lite-On IT Corporation, during the preceding three quarters, Lite-On's accumulative total of consolidated global operating revenues added up to NT$ 100 billion, which established the record due to a 52% increase over the corresponding period last year.

Lite-On indicated that, among four SBGs, the operating revenues and pre-tax profit of Component and peripheral (former Lite-On) for the preceding three quarters totaled NT$ 13,760 million and NT$ 1,500 million, a growth of 22% and 89% respectively over the corresponding period last year. During the forth quarter, not only have the power supplies of notebook computers attracted new customers without stopping, but the sales of SMD LED which is applied to the surfaces of cell phones grow continuously as well.
