Lite-On Technology Corp. Reports July Result

Lite-On Technology Corporation reported the estimated global revenue of July 2003 reached 7.77 billion NT dollars , with a 6% increase on a MoM basis and a 2% increase on a YoY basis. The accumulated revenue for the previous seven months of 2003 reached 51.8 billion NT dollars.

Adding the revenues of Lite-On IT Technology and Silitech Corporation, the two majorities owned subsidiaries, the estimated global consolidated revenue for July of 2003 reached NT 11.1 billion dollars with a 6 % increase on a MoM basis. The accumulated consolidated revenue for the previous seven months of 2003 reached 75 billion NT dollars.

The revenue of Peripherals and Components Strategic Business Group was 5.05 NT billion dollars with a 6 % increase on a MoM basis. The sales of LCD Monitors break the historical record and reach 213,000 units. The momentum of sale is expected to accelerate in the following months. The sales of Adapters, LEDs and Keyboards were inline with forecast. Influenced by the SARS outbreak, the sales of Printer and Multi Function Printers decreased 12 % on a MoM basis and resulted in NT$1.27 billion dollars for the revenue.

Because of the transition between old and new models, the sales quantity of handsets dropped from 200,000 units last month to 187, 000 units in July. The sales of networking and system products contributed NT$1.13 billion dollars to the total revenue, with a 2% increase on a MoM basis.
