Lite-On Technology Corporation Rescheduled the Closing Date of Digital Display Business Unit's Disposal of Assets to Wistron to August 31st

Lite-On Technology Corporation (TW. 2301) rescheduled the closing date of Digital Display Business Unit’s (DDBU) disposal of assets to Wistron Corporation (TW. 3231) to 31st of August, 2008. After contemplating the length of time required for transfer procedures, both parties have come to an agreement on the above rescheduling of the closing date.

All the asset transfer procedures have been under progress ever since the deal was sealed on April 29, 2008. However, this transfer involves regulation compliances and permits applications among various regional jurisdictions and the legal procedures will take longer than expected. As a result, Lite-On and Wistron achieved consensus to reschedule the closing date to August 31st, 2008 from July 31st, 2008 prior.
