LITE-ON Technology (2301-tw) today reported June consolidated revenue of NT$19.53 billion, up 17% M-o-M and 2% Y-o-Y while hitting a monthly sales record high in 2017. Thanks to stable end-demand from core businesses, cumulative sales for January and June totaled NT$104.4 billion, up 1% Y/Y.
Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 24% share of total sales. Thanks to the growing demand from invisible LED, ongoing market share gains in LED components, smooth delivery of LED vehicle lighting, coupled with increasing shipment of high-end camera modules, the Optoelectronics June revenue posted a remarkable growth of over 10% Y-o-Y.
Information Technologies business accounted for 55% of total sales of which, cloud computing application revenue posted ongoing growth resulting from increased delivery of server and networking related products. Moreover, delivery growth in laser models of Multi-Function Peripherals also supported Information Technologies to achieve a revenue growth of over 10% Y-o-Y in June. Meanwhile, the Storage segment accounted for 16% of total revenue.
