LITE-ON Technology Reports Consolidated June Sales of NT$19.64 Billion

LITE-ON Technology (2301-tw) today reported its June consolidated revenue of NT$19.64 billion, up 6% M-o-M and 1% Y-o-Y, continuing hitting a record high in 2018. Thanks to stable end demand from core businesses, the second quarter revenue reached NT$54.7 billion, up 13% Q-o-Q and 3% Y-o-Y, and cumulative sales for January and June totaled NT$103.2 billion.

Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 28% share of total sales. Thanks to the growing demand from invisible LED, ongoing market share gains in LED components, smooth delivery of LED vehicle lighting, coupled with delivery growth in high-end camera modules, Optoelectronics business posted a growth of approximately 20% Y-o-Y.

Information Technologies business accounted for 53% of sales. Delivery growth of high-end server and networking power management systems for cloud computing as well as power supplies for AI smart home devices, coupled with ongoing market share gains in HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC Keyboards and Peripherals) supported Information Technologies a revenue growth of approximately 10% M-o-M in June.

Meanwhile, the Storage segment accounted for 14% of total revenue. Thanks to strong demand from cloud computing application, the segment posted a monthly growth of over 10%.
